Next week students will be doing the District Math assessment.

All week students have been working on review for this assessment. They have many different review packs they can work on. It is strongly advised they study and work on practice questions over the weekend.

All students are currently working on a project either individually or with a partner. They were given 12 options and they had to choose 2 from the list. They are all different expressions of culture (art, dance, music, food, clothes, sports and games etc.).

The students are to present the 2 options they chose without a PowerPoint presentation. This project requires them to do an activity with the class.

For example if they chose dance they would have to teach the class the dance and explain why the dance is important to their chosen culture. If they chose food they can make that food and bring it in for the class.

Each group has their own individual due date and the presentations will take place the first two weeks of June in their SS classes. I will be doing an example presentation to show them what I am expecting before any of them present.
