Online Learning - Ready, Set, Go!

Posted: January 10, 2022

Online learning will begin for DLMS students on Tuesday, January 11th.  Students will not be following the regular bell schedule.  Instead, we have created a schedule specific for online learning.  Each homeroom teacher has posted their homeroom's schedule on their Teacher Page.  In addition, teachers will be sharing the schedule via their MS Teams pages and calls.  Also, the school will be sending a copy of the their students bell schedule to them via email.

For parents who are wondering how things will go, each classroom teacher has posted on their Teacher Page what their expectations and procedures for online learning will be.  Most will be using MS Teams to interact with students.  Those families that have requested home learning packages (no/low tech), please know that your students are still invited to the MS Teams calls and can participate as much as they can to synchronous learning.  We realize that learning from home in any form is not optimal and we hope that this is short-lived.  We are here to help, we do not want students or parents struggling to understand a concept, skill or a piece of technology, so if you run into an issue please reach out to the teacher or staff member via email (can be found on our directory) and we will answer your question as soon as possible.

The pick up of home learning kits, assistive technology and classroom learning materials (books, scribblers, calculators, skates, etc...) will continue Tuesday, Jan 11th from 9am to 3pm.  You do not need an appointment to pick materials up but you do need to follow Public Health guidelines.
