Any student who did not get a chance to pick their materials up on their assigned day.

Process:

Please note that the school will be enforcing physical distancing of 2 meters.  Community members can expect a grocery store style entry to the school.  Only one family member will be permitted in the lobby at a time.  Distancing markers will be laid out.

  • Staff will have all of the student materials packed in a bag and labeled with the student’s name.  Items will be stored in the lobby area.
  • When the family member enters the school, they will identify which student(s) they are picking up for.  Families with more than one student attending DLMS can pick up all materials for their family at one time.
  • A staff member will retrieve that student’s bag.  The family member will have time to double check that all necessary materials are in the bag.
    • If other materials need to be retrieved, a staff member will get them.
    • If the student’s locker was not able to be opened with the combination we have in our records, the family member will be escorted to the student’s locker to retrieve personal items. (10 min) We ask that all families bring your student’s locker combination with you, just incase it is different than our records and you need to get into their locker.
  • Once all student materials are accounted for the family member will exit the building.

To minimize contact but maximizing this opportunity we are asking that families drop off any school items that they have home.

  • Library books
  • Classroom novels
  • Textbooks
  • School uniforms

We will have a designated section inside the school for families to drop off items that belong to the school.

At this time we will not be permitting anyone to pick through the lost and found items, but we will be making arrangements in the future for these items to be picked up.

If a family is not able to come at either their designated time nor the 2nd chance opportunity, they are asked the email judson.waye@nbed.nb.ca , krista.cabel@nbed.nb.ca or text/call 506 626 4409 and leave a message to make arrangements.
