Online Learning Expectations

Posted: January 10, 2022

Dear parents and students,

I hope you all enjoyed your break. For the next few weeks (from January 11th to 21st) being online and beyond that still uncertain, DLMS will be running a temporary online schedule. I have already posted my homeroom (7C) schedule on this teacher page, and I will also be posting it on their Microsoft Teams Class. Please note the schedule consists of six core subjects in the morning and Physical Wellness/Independent reading in the afternoon.  The schedule has been shortened to six 30-minute classes in the morning with 2 screen breaks, Lunch break and then the afternoon reading and wellness schedule.

For the duration of online learning, I will be using Microsoft Teams as my teaching platform for all of my classes. Students should have received their online learning schedule and will be required to join in on a class call with me during their scheduled class. The call invitation will be sent to students through Microsoft Teams, and they will be able to find it through their Class Team and/or their Teams Calendar. As for work in class and assignments, they will be distributed through the Assignments tab in their Class Team. Students will also be able to submit their work in the same Assignments tab. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to send me an email troy.cabel@nbed.nb.ca

Thanks,

Mr. Cabel
