I've noticed through my calls home that many students are watching The Outer Banks on Netflix, and one of my students said that there were major connections to The Outsiders.  So I just had to watch it at this point!  And I have to say that there are definitely many connections to The Outsiders.  If you are watching The Outer Banks, I would love to hear the connections that you are finding between the show and the novel.  I'll give you one example: note the similarities between the characters of Randy in the novel and Topper on the show.
