Due Date:
Students and Parents-
I hope you had a great week of learning opportunities.
Math- I see many of you have been spending time on Dreambox. Bravo. Continue to work on it every day. 15-20 minutes would be great. If you experience difficulty send me a message and I can help you out. My email is marielouise.squire@nbed.nb.ca
If you get tired of doing Dreambox take a break and practice some times tables. Make yourself a test and see how well you can do.
Did you try out the Problem of the week from last week? I am enclosing the question and the answer. I have also included a new question for this week. Can you do it? Give it a try.
Science- This week at https://www.birds.cornell.edu/k12/science-nature-activities-for-cooped-u... they are looking at Flight and Migration. Take a look at the slideshow. It contains some cool videos on how birds fly and why other animals cannot. They also explore other animals that can fly. I must say this week's slideshow is perhaps one of the best so far. Especially if you are interested in flight and migration.
If birds are not your thing you could do the suggested activities from the ASD-N stem team. See the enclosed flyer. This week it is all about upcycling. Take something in your recycling or trash and make something useful.
As always let me know the results of any activity you have been doing. I can post them on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/stem.squire.3
I hope that you all have a marvelous week of learning. Remember anything you do is learning, from cooking to cleaning and helping out around the house. Take care.
