Students at all grade levels will be competing in sports events or cheering for competitors tomorrow morning. Students are reminded to dress appropriately for their events. If they will be on the ice tomorrow they need skates, helmets, and gloves or mitts.
For those who are cheering on their classmates- remember to dress for being outside.
Science Fair projects are the next "big" thing. Following March Break each Science teacher will be asking their students to develop a science project for school competition on March 19. 2010. The winner of the school based competitions will go on to the District Science Fair on March 25.
Remember to start planning early for the best possible project.
Ms. Vye will be starting Volleyball tryouts following March Break. She is looking for some volunteers to help with coaching and organizing the team this year. If you are willing to volunteer some time helping Dr. Losier to run a Varsity and Junior Varsity program please call the school at 778-6077 and ask for Ms.Vye or leave a message.
Beginning next week Mr. McCarthy will be working with a select group of grade six students on Language Arts skills. BOYS
The Varsity boys team is nearing the end of a super season. The Boys will be wrapping up their season with two more tournaments both hosted here at Dr. Losier. The action will begin this weekend with the North Shore Championships. Seven teams will be participating and we are expecting some great match-ups as these teams battle it out to see who will take the championship this year. Dr. Losier's first game will begin at 10:30 am. If you get the chance stop by to cheer our boys on.

Once again the French Immersion Students at DLMS have arranged an in school food drive to support the Miramichi food bank. Especially during this season it is important to remember the needs of those who may need a helping hand during the holidays. Each student has been asked to bring in a non-perishable food item. The response from most classes and students has been generous. We know that many families in our community will benefit from the generosity of our students and their families.
Our first Variety show of the year was a great success. The student audience for the afternoon show was really impressed with the quality of the performances and the talent of their classmates. Many felt that it was the best show they had seen yet and are looking forward to the next variety show.
The evening show was well attended by the community and was thoroughly enjoyed by that audience as well. Mrs. Frost has said the event was a wonderful success and that the students put on a wonderful performance.
