Hi everyone!  We have had a wonderful first week back with our soft launch to the school year.  In ELA, we have been focusing on learning how to use our writers notebooks and experimenting with word play through the creation of an illustrated 6 word memoir.  Don't forget that if you did not finish your memoir on Friday, it is due for homework!  This week, we will begin to weave in some academic baseline skills activities to help us see where our students currently are on our middle school reading and writing continuums.  This data will help us to identify our students' learning strengths and gaps, further aiding us in the planning of group and individual activities moving forward.
