Presently students have been exploring the themes of Remembrance Day. They have been reading essays, articles, and poems and listening to songs along the theme of Remembrance.  Most of the work is done in class.  They could be doing more research at home or the public library.  Essays by past winners can be read at www.legion.ca/ under the youth heading.

A rough draft should be finished for Friday. At this time, we will begin revisions.  Next week we will have teacher and peer conferences.

Final copy due November 4.

Reading 25 minutes a night has been the expectation as they have been doing responses in class to prove that they were thinking as they were reading! :)
