Tonight, students are to record a connection to the book in paragraph form.  They need an introduction, a body (explaining in detail their connection) and a conclusion.    (Intro/paragraph 1) i.e.  Today while reading Egghead, I was reminded of the old grandfather’s clock at Nanny’s when I  heard the description of Will’s house. Body/para. 2   Explain the connection in great detail. Conclusion/paragraph 3    Give a thought or realization based on the connection. i.e.  Listening to the story made me miss hearing the loud, jarring clang of the grandfather clock when I would spend weekends at my Nanny’s house. That clanging has really become a sound that I cherish because it signifies the wonderful times I had there.
