Due Date:

Sunday, May 31, 2020

Hi guys

I hope you are all well and healthy. This week won't be as hot as last week so we might get a bit more done.

Math- You should all be working on Dream Box if you have access to the internet and a device. This would be time well spent. At least 20-25 minutes a day would be ideal.

I have uploaded the last Problem of the Week. Give it a try. I have also uploaded the answer to last weeks problem.

For a no-tech option how about playing a game of Cheat. See the following link for instructions. It can be played by two or more players. Great for the whole family. Have some fun together. https://www.kidspot.com.au/things-to-do/activity-articles/cheat/news-sto...

Science- The new ASD-N flyer has been included. This week we are cooking. I have enclosed a recipe for Cinnamon Roll Cake in case you cannot access any recipes. You will never make cinnamon buns again after you taste this. Even Mrs. Cabel could make these. Ha

This weeks class assignment is to make Fibonacci Lemonade. I thought we would try something fun and do a little Mathematical Cuisine. I have uploaded the recipe and the website in case you want to try. I had lots of fun making this and it tasted really good. I think I will do it over the summer again. Great surprise for all. It combines Math and Science. http://blog.andreahawksley.com/fibonacci-lemonade/

Fibonacci sequence is a set of numbers where the third number is the sum of the first two numbers. The fourth number is the sum of the second and third numbers, and so on. For example: 0, 1,1,2,3,5,8,13 Who knew this sequence could make a really cool looking lemonade.

Check out the photo I have include of how mine looked. Send me a picture of how you made out with your Fibonacci Lemonade.

Well everyone hope you have a great week and give these activities a try. Learning is everywhere. Math and Science are in most things we do.
