Our Project Happiness group encouraged the lady knights to "write something nice about someone" on a wall space available in our school. The kindness thoughts were wonderfully written and smiles were seen by all! We want to thank the "pinkitforward" group for a great idea. Happiness abounds at DLMS.
Congratulations to the 87 students who had perfect attendance for the month of March. Well done! Congratulations as well to John Murdock from 8M, winner of the monthly draw. Keep up the great attendance! :)
Reminder to the parents of girls in grade 7: The second dose of the Gardasil vaccine will be given the morning of April12, 2016. Please have your daughter eat breakfast and wear short sleeves.
Thank you to Douglastown Sobey's employees for visiting our culinary class today. Wonderful healthy recipes from the dietician and creating food with the Sobey's staff members was an exciting experience for our grade 8 students. We found the truth in your logo "Better food for all".
Fluffy the Bunny visited Dr. Losier Middle again this year. Each day Fluffy hid, and students had to find him, using a series of clues. Congratulations to our students who found Fluffy - Brian Cortes, Angela White, and Cole Thibault! You were very good detectives! On Thursday, Fluffy visited each class, bringing treats to the students. Happy Easter!
The Home and School association are in the process of preparing for the grade 8 banquet in June. They would like all grade 8 students to submit an early grade picture, k-1 to their homeroom teacher. Please print the students name on the back. All pictures will be returned to the student before the end of the school year.
Green St. Patrick's day was celebrated with many students and staff today. As well, our school participated in the "Great Big Crunch" Event with the school community producing a very loud CRUNCH sound when we ate our apples this afternoon. It was a healthy and fun snack in support of nutrition month. Way to go Knights!
Roland Bibeau's performance was outstanding! A wonderful bilingual performer sharing his craft with our staff and students. Thank you! Check out his website for CD's http://www.rolandbibeau.com
