8C, 7L, 6/7R Heritage Fair - We are celebrating Canada 150 - New Brunswick Proud.  Students are to select a topic from the list provided to them, or another NB topic of their choice.  Some research time is provided in class, rest of project is to be done at home.  In their Agendas, students have a copy of assessment rubric and choices of how to present their learning.  All projects are due the week of February 20th, depending on when they have Social Studies classes.

Students are to complete a response to one of four topics - Vimy Ridge, Flanders Field and John McCrae, Winnie the Pooh, or Halifax Explosion - indicating 5 things they have learned about their chosen topic.  It is suggested that the response be done through illustrations, but written is also acceptable.

All students in 7F, 7L, 8C, and 8M are to have Heritage Fair projects due the week of January 11, 2016.  The theme of their projects is New Brunswick - Leadership and Legacy.  They are to select a New Brunswick politician, artist, musician, company, landmarks, events, news anchor, etc.  They are to research their topic, and explain who/what their topic is, the history of the topic, and how the person/place, event, etc. has helped to make New Brunswick what it is today.  Students may present their projects in the format of their choosing.
