We are excited! From March 15 until June 6th, 2015, Dr. Losier Middle School will be hosting two grade 6 students from Colombia. We are currently looking for homes for these children, preferably homes that have children of a similar age. If you would be interested in finding out more, please contact Judy Foley at 624-9274. This has proven to be a wonderful experience for many families, and we hope you will consider opening your home to one of these children.
On Friday, September 26th the students and staff of Dr. Losier Middle School participated in the Terry Fox Walk. Dressed in blue and white, we put our support behind the Canadian Cancer Society, and raised $200 in Terry's honour. Well done!
On Tuesday September 30th the
grade 8's will be taking a co-curricular trip for Social Studies to
Metepenagaig. Students will leave after first period and will return during
T-time. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn more about an
important aspect of our local and national heritage. Students should dress for
an active day and for weather that day. They should bring a lunch with them as
we will return after the cafeteria is closed.
Please remember all school rules
apply and attendance at co-curricular events is mandatory. A permission form
This is the time of year when we all pitch in to run our fundraising campaign. The money raised will be used for many projects and activities that occur at the school.
This year we’ll be selling cookie dough from QSP. We’re offering 15 selections of frozen cookie dough at a great price of $15 each! Lots of yummy varieties to choose from while supporting our school at the same time! We earn 40% profit if we sell more than 336 tubs! That’s just 2 or 3 tubs for every family to sell (or purchase if you wish). Cookies come in tubs and many also come in ready-to-bake pre-portioned boxes.
