The students and staff of Dr. Losier Middle School were recently treated to a wonderful musical/theatrical presentation of Sir John, Eh? Travelling across Canada to celebrate the 200th birthday of Sir John A Macdonald, Canada's first Prime Minister, these wonderful actors shared with us the story of Confederation through music, skits, and humour.
The Home and School will be having a pot luck lunch for the staff of Dr. Losier Middle School for staff appreciation week. Anyone who would like to contribute an item for this event is asked to drop it off at the school by 10:30 on Thursday February 13th. Middle School was pleased to welcome Rob McLeod, "Frisbee Rob", to
our school on January 23rd.
Rob began
his day with us in an assembly with all students sharing his accomplishments
and world records as an athlete. He then
discussed with the students the difference between peer conflict and bullying. He further told the students to "love
what you do - don't settle!”
Rob gave us
several valuable quotes to remember:

Everyone is invited to join in the first ever Dr. Losier Iditarod Reading Challenge! Coming to a hallway near you will be Husky Pawprints with a student’s name and completed book title. Each Pawprint will represent 7 km of the Alaskan Iditarod Dogsled Race. This race covers 1506 kilometers of the Great North. The goal is for each student to read a minimum of three books over seven weeks. We will celebrate the love of reading, promote awesome books and, of course, see who can beat the challenge. “Let’s go!” or “MUSH!” as they say on the Iditarod trail!
Congratulations to the 77 students who had perfect attendance for the month of December. Excellent work- present every day and arrived on time. Mr. LeBlanc's 7L class had the best overall attendance, at 96.5% Well done!
