"Whatta you know?Whatta you guess?"   You will be treated to a zany musical comedy, Charleston, this Thursday, May 30 at 7:00 p.m.  You will transported back to the 1920s and all it's glory- flappers, socialites, gangsters, parties. Come out and support our grade eight exploratory students.  Enjoy a roarin' show and dessert for $7. Tickets are available from the cast and at the door. That's Thursday at 7p.m.

Come out and see the Tall Ships May 31- June 2 and learn from some of our very own Dr. Losier students about their history. There will be student projects on display at the Rodd and various activities all weekend long. We are looking forward to welcoming nine tall ships and Theodore Tugboat. Check out  miramichitallships.ca  for the complete schedule!

This year our grade 7 Christmas play, After Hours, was presented at the NBDrama Festival in Fredericton.  It was the first time these 14 girls attended workshops and performed for adjudication.  The play received rave reviews!  The company received a special adjudicator's mention for outstanding interaction on stage.  Emily  Larkin and Maggie Gibson were recognized as Outstanding Actors while Madelyn Frost was recognized for Outstanding Supporting Actor.  This group was a joy to work with!  Special thanks to our chaperones Maria Lynch and Mary-Lou Barry.

The Miramichi Kinsmen and Anglophone North School District are pleased to accept film entries for the Third Annual Kin Film Festival.  All students in ASD-N are invited to participate.  Students may submit films in one or both of the two categories.The first category is the Kin Category.  Films in this category will address the theme “Doing the Right Thing”.The second category is the Open Category.  Films of any genre or subject matter can be submitted to this category.The top films selected in each category will be screened.Also this year, Director Michel Guitar from the NB film Co-op will be

The varsity boy’s basketball team wrapped up their season by claiming a BNB Provincial Championship title on Feb. 24th.  The boys went a perfect 4 – 0 during the tournament defeating Devon Middle School, Bliss Carmen Middle School and AGS in the round-robin and defeating Superior Middle School of Bathurst in the championship game.  Coach Richard and Coach Reynolds want to wish all the senior grade 8 players best of luck next year in high school and look forward to seeing our returning grade 6 and 7 players on the court next year.
