The Miramichi Kinsmen and Anglophone North School District are pleased to accept film entries for the Third Annual Kin Film Festival. All students in ASD-N are invited to participate. Students may submit films in one or both of the two categories.The first category is the Kin Category. Films in this category will address the theme “Doing the Right Thing”.The second category is the Open Category. The varsity boy’s basketball team
wrapped up their season by claiming a BNB Provincial Championship title on Feb.
24th. The boys went a perfect
4 – 0 during the tournament defeating Devon Middle School, Bliss Carmen Middle
School and AGS in the round-robin and defeating Superior Middle School of
Bathurst in the championship game. Coach
Richard and Coach Reynolds want to wish all the senior grade 8 players best of
luck next year in high school and look forward to seeing our returning grade 6
and 7 players on the court next year.
Tickets were sent home with 8L and 8M Friday March 22nd, and NEED to be returned by Thursday March 28, as the draw will be held March 28th before the end of the day.
All proceeds will go toward the grade 8 English End of Year trip.
A big thank-you form 8L and 8M to all of those who donated Easter Goodies and items for our Easter Basket Fundraiser. Over the next week students will be selling tickets out and about on to raise money for our trip to Halifax in June.

All students will be participating in our first School Writing Day,
Monday, February 18, during periods one and two. Students will write a
five paragraph essay about one of five given subject prompts. This
piece will be used as a snapshot of a student's independent writing and
revision skills. The results will help identify the topics to be covered
in writer's workshops.Students should get a good night's rest and have a good breakfast. This is occurring in sudents' homeroom classes.
