Friday Oct 7th Mrs. MacDonald’s 8C Social Studies class will be hosting a mixed varsity soccer game during last period. Cost is $2.00 per students and all money is going to support the Miramichi Youth House. This is a great opportunity for students to connect to their community. This organization is one the stduents of 8M chose and they are proud to have a chance to show their community spirit. We look forward to seeing every DLMS student at the game.

We held our annual Terry Fox Run on Friday afternoon organized by Mrs. Prince. There was a wonderful turn out!  Mrs. Squire had issued a challenge to the students.  If they raised $500, she would dress as a Super Hero next Friday.  Nothing's been tabulated officially yet , but we hope that she is prepared to teach in a cape!

First Drama Opportunity Students interested in DLMS' drama club turned out on Thursday night.  We discussed how to use our voices and emotion to present poems and skits. The theatre was alive with laughter and silliness as we delved into Bruce Lanskey's "Giggle Poetry".  Students received a monologue to present next week. Friday, students signed up for an audition time.(Posted on theatre doors.) See attachment for all audition information.   Second Drama Opportunity

Every year Dr. Losier undertakes one major fundraising campaign. Our fundraiser was launched today. Every student has been given a sheet which lists the products for sale. This is the same product as last year and the response from clients has been very positive students, staff, and parents all found the cookies, muffins, and brownies were delicious.

The support you provide to your children and their school helps create a positive culture which contributes to the success of every student.
