The students and staff of Dr. Losier Middle School would like to send a big thank you to Sunny Corner Enterprises for the donation of a scroll saw to our Industrial Shop. Students will certainly get a lot of use from it! Pictured using the saw are Jenna Whiffen and Trever Court.
A grand total of 47 boxes were prepared to send to our Troops overseas at Christmas. A big thank you to Mrs. Frost, Mrs. Squire and Mrs. MacDonald and her grade 6 social studies classes. We want to thank parents, students and teachers for providing the items needed, without your help this would not have been a success.
On Thursday, November 7th, Dr Losier Middle School, along with Science East, hosted a STEM Fair (careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Presenters at the evening included Drs. Barry and Galatis, Breatheasy Services, Forest Protection Limited, Miramichi River Environmental Assessment Committee, Science East, NB Power, Miramichi Police, Sunny Corner Enterprises, LPNs, NBCC, PPEGNB and 99.3The River. The evening was enjoyed by students, parents and staff - a great learning experience for all!
Please note that items for the boxes for our Troops are being collected until the morning of the 14th of November. Please bring all items to Mrs. Squire or to Mrs. MacDonald. The list of wanted items are on the November Newsletter.
Thank you for your support in this worthwhile endeavor.
