Students have been working on their persuasive speeches.  They completed their draft last week and have had two peer edits with classmates for more information, persuasiveness, strong opinion, original details and a strong  introduction. What should they be doing now? They should be: 1) including transition words of  comparison, contrast and adding information to make their speech more persuasive. 2) varying the sentence beginnings, lengths and types( statement, exclamation, question) 3) referring to their research to support their topic (5 sources are needed) Good copy of the speech is due on April 6 for 8M and April 7 for 8F.  That's right students, you will have one more day to allow me to conference with you! Presentations of speeches will be April 11, 12, and 13.  Hopefully, parents have been well aware of these dates as all students wrote the due dates in their agendas  during class after the March Break!

The time length is two minutes maximum. This assignment was passed out on Monday.  It's worth 10 marks.     7R &7L-  French quiz on verbs(left side) on Friday.  There will be a match and a dictee.   We had an awesome day enjoying winter sports today.  The students made the Dr. Losier staff very proud. :)
