Grade 7 students begin the Provincial Grade 7 Language Arts Assessment on Monday, October 22- Wednesday, October 23. All assessments will be done during first and second period this week. In addition to all their classwork preparation, we would suggest that students get a good night's rest, have a healthy breakfast, and come with a pencil, eraser and pens. Monday will be the reading component while Tuesday and Wednesday will be the writing component.  They will be given writing topics as well as the option to write a topic of their choice. Hopefully, students are considering what they'd like to write about.  Students have been reviewing all traits of writing since September.  Keep up the great work and use what you know!   8S-  You need to submit the good and rough copy of your story on Tuesday. Revise for ideas: a specific topic with a purpose in mind, ideas relevant to the topic, insightful details that enhance the  ideas- see it, hear it, feel it Revise for organization: a great hook, two examples of an introduction, transtions within the paragraph, transitions between paragraphs, a satisfying conclusion
