6M & 6C Homework

Our Social Studies classes are collecting various items for Showboxes for Soldiers, a worthy cause that brings a little bit of home to our Canadian soldiers on the front lines at Christmas time.  Students have taken home a list of items both needed and wanted to include in the care packages. The same list can be found in our school newsletter going home today. We will also be making Christmas ornaments and bilingual Christmas cards to go in the care packages.  Your support is greatly appreciated.

Chris Hadfield Virtual Classroom   Get front-row seats to Chris Hadfield’s historic mission as the first Canadian Commander of the International Space Station (ISS) and his subsequent return to Earth! The National Film Board of Canada (NFB), the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) and the Canadian Museum of Nature (CMN) are offering students the chance to join Commander Hadfield in an exciting and illuminating live conversation this fall. Hadfield will blast into our classroom in real time to talk with our students about his journey to becoming an astronaut, his experiences aboard the ISS, and to answer any mind-boggling outer-space questions!
