Students will be creating models of objects of their choice from space. They will have an opportunity to research and create these models during class. However, they are responsible for getting any materials needed to build the models. These materials do not need to be pricey, and can be found at home or Dollar Store.

Students presented this week to their peers and received feedback on how they can improve their projects. They were given written assessments from their classmates and completed a self-assessment, which they brought home to assist with the suggestions given to them. The final presentation and due date is Monday March 10th.

The grade 6 science classes have created the rubric that will be used to mark their projects. This was a joint effort between the two classes using the quality standards that the students identified themselves. Please see attached

Students have been given a My Podium Pages workbook with journalling entries to keep them involved in the ongoing Winter Olympics. This is a daily activity which they will complete throughout the games and turn in for assessment at the end of the month. They are responsible for completing Day 1 -4 for Monday Feb 10th. Please see attached copy of the workbook, in case you forget your notebook at school.
