As part of their Diversity of Life unit in Science the grade 6's visited the Moncton Zoo to investigate animals, their behavior and their adaptations. Even though the weather was chilly all the students and staff had a great time and got to learn lots about the animals with a Science scavenger hunt!
6M and 6C were fortunate today to attend a presentation by Madge Lagman from the Miramichi Multicultural Association on her Fillipino culture. She shared the cultural background from the Philippines, family values, festivals and games.

Students have been given a science project on a specific animal and its adaptations (both physical and behavioural)in the wild. Students have an outline of the project and have been given time in our computer lab to research the information needed. Extra time at home or afterschool during our activity period may be required to complete the project. The finished product must include a creative component (i.e. collage, poem/song, picture or story book, model etc.) as well as answers to the questions in their outline. Please see attached outline for more information. These projects will be due Tuesday October 14th.
