Grade 6 classes will be participating in the Shoeboxes for Soldiers campaign where we collect items and assemble care packages for Canadian Forces personnel overseas during the holiday season. Participation is voluntary, please see attached sheet for further explanantion and a list of preferred items. Thank you for your support.

Students have been given their reserach information for their choice of topic/animal. They are to work at home on the finished product as outlined in my previous post in the project outline. Projects are due Tuesday October 13th.

September 2015 The grade 6 Science classes have begun the unit Diversity of Life. As an interactive learning experience they will be travelling to the Moncton Zoo on Friday October 16th.  We will be leaving at 8:30a.m. from the school and returning by 2 p.m., in time to return home on the bus. Students are to bring a lunch and a water bottle. Students are asked to wear clothing appropriate to the day’s weather and to wear sneakers, as we will be walking for most of the day. Please call if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks! Grade 6 Teachers J A permission slip has been sent home with the students and needs to be signed and returned ASAP.

All students will be bringing home a form which describes the Growth and Development portion of our Health curriculum.The outcomes for all units are on the back of the sheet. If you would rather your child NOT participate in the Growth and Development unit, please sign the bottom and return the form to me.  Thank you

I will be covering the attached outcomes in my Health classes throughout this year. During Term 1, I will begin with Unit 1: Your Family and Community. We will continue into Unit 2: :Personal Wellness as time and our progress allows. I am sending home a letter with each child for review in regards to the Growth and Development Unit.
