Welcome to a new school year. We are looking forward to seeing you! Our first day of school - Tuesday, September 8th - is for grade 6 students only. This is our WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) Day, where our new grade 6 students have a day just for them, led by our grade 8 WEB Crew! Regular classes will begin for all students on Wednesday, September 9th. See you soon, DLMS students. It's going to be a great year!! :)
The male athlete of the year is Jayden McIntyre and the female athlete of the year is Ashley MacKinley.The winners of the Harold Fleiger award where Olivia Cripps, Nathan Fanjoy and Cassidy English.
This fall, several girls from Colombia will be attending school in Miramichi. They will be here from mid-September until mid-November. If you would be interested in being a host family for one of these girls, please call Cathy Carnahan at 778-6613 or email her at Cathy.Carnahan@nbed.nb.ca.
The Grade 8 students marked the end of their time at DLMS with the annual Grade 8 Banquet. The students had a great time, with lots of food, fun, and laughter. We congratulate our grade 8s, and wish them all the best at JMH. A big thank you to our Home and School Association for sponsoring this event. See more photos in the image gallery.
Congratulations to the 96 students who had perfect attendance for the month of May, and to Abigael Sturgeon, winner of the Perfect Attendance prize for May!
It was with a lot of tears and hugs that the Dr. Losier Middle School students and staff bid farewell to Eduardo, Pablo and Sebastian. We had a party, gifts, and a farewell gauntlet, as they headed to the limo! We have enjoyed having them with us and will miss them! See more pictures in the image gallery.
